Photo of contemporary artist Enriquillo Amiama

A view of a younger artist Enriquillo Amiama for his solo show in 1992.
The photographer captured Enriquillo’s deep sigh. Art critics already considered him a cultured painter with a solid knowledge of Art History. In addition, Amiama was already writing art criticisms for important newspapers in the Dominican Republic, demonstrating his skills as a writer, perhaps inherited from his grandfather Manuel A. Amiama (Cundo), an important author of novels, short stories and law books used as textbooks in the universities.
